..Are SOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo much quicker at sorting things out than Manchester council.
Seriously, I recieved a phonecall at 09:05 this morning in response to the email I sent on saturday night (the complaint I made just before all hell broke loose) The lass on the phone said that it was definitely a serious matter but unfortunately they had to follow procedure – if there had been any evidence that he was involved in the door battering incident then he’d be out on his ear now, as it is..
I’m to fill out a diary. That’s right, a diary.
He gets told a complaint has been made about him (probably take him 30 seconds to realise by who) he then gets a formal warning and a letter drop will be made to the surrounding neighbours asking if they have heard anything or would like to also make any complaints about him.
Somehow I don’t think we’ll be here long enough to see the process through – at least I hope not, I want out of Swinton – preferably out of Salford completely. No matter how great and together the council are, I’ll take my chances somewhere a little more condusive to peace of mind (assuming there is such a place on our budget)
There are a couple of places I like the look of in Bromley cross, the added advantage to moving there of course is that I’ll be walking distance to my dads house so he’ll have no excuse any more not to make the effort to visit me occasionally (and vice versa) but there are also some lovely properties elsewhere for less money that seem to be situated in equally pleasent surroundings.
We’ll just have to see.
