Nothing cheers you up more than whacking a few balls over the driving range.
Nice fresh air, the sound of grunts and curses intermingle with laughter as people happily stand in their bays and just hit out as far as they can go.
Best cure for a bad mood I can think of – especially when you hit your stride and those little white spheres just sail into the distance with a satisfying CRACK!
Seriously, tonight it was just beautiful, the rain tintininning away on the corrugated metal roof, catching the floodlights in a spray of colourful irridescence – fair took my breath away.
It’s good to be alive.

I’ve never understood golf, and despite your delightful recollection, I still don’t! Glad you enjoyed it though!
heh, I didn’t understand how golf worked either until I got a wii (see, educational and fun!) but I’ve never actually played golf, I stick to the driving range – less walking, more hitting..
