The after party shoe

I’ve just come across this site and I have to say.. What a brilliant idea.
The redfootrevolution is here. There is nothing worse than that crippling sensation at the end of the night if you’ve been wearing heels – I was recently reminded of this after wearing an old pair for the first time in over a year.. Ouch.
Anyhow, these ingenious little pumps have a specially made sole that’s designed to fold up and fit into your handbag – now, my first thought was why bother? but then I saw the range.. You could probably find something there to match every outfit you have – and not have to worry about bare feet if the heels get too much for you towards the end of the night. Unfortunately you are a bit buggared if you’re larger than an 8 – I was chuffed to see they do ‘em in a 3 though, normally little feet get nary a look in.
The ballet pump ones could also double as driving shoes.. Just slip ‘em into the side door when you’re finished and you can still wear those pretty shoes that are totally inappropriate for wearing behind the wheel when you reach your destination.
I’ll be waiting until they bring the price tag down a bit though, £25 for a pair is a bit steep to me, I don’t go out often enough to justify that. Let me know what you think ladies – am I once again trailing behind everyone else on the fashion front, or have I found something you’ve not seen yet..?

Well I haven’t heard of them, but being me, I tend to eschew the practical. I mean, I have been killing my feet since I was 12. Why stop now?

This is like those damn plastic shoes I’ve been seeing everywhere.
At least it’s not as bad as the kids shoes with the wheels. ARGHHH

I have just seen these little pumps and I think they are a brilliant idea. I would certainly be looking to add a few into my christmas shopping for the “female who has everything”. I would use them for driving or just put them in my bag as they are as light as a feather and do not take up any room. Perhaps after a tiring day shopping, they may be nice to slip on. I say the simple ideas are the best, and I think these will turn out to be a “must have”. £25 may sound expensive but they are really well made and the new ones have gem stones on and some are metallic. You also get a neat little storage pouch.

In the year since this post was published, I haven’t seen too many of my heel wearing colleagues and girlfriends wearing anything like this. It’s surprising though as it would have seemed to have taken off IMO.
