I’ve been boning up on social networks and the people who run and use them for a few weeks now and I’ve barely scratched the surface – even though I’ve been using these sites myself for years.

It’s all because of Nik aka Loudmouthman, he’s been making a pest of himself all over the net lately garnering followers left right and centre over at twitter and kyte.tv..
Anyhow, Nik came to me with the idea of maybe starting a Vlog talking about the social networks and because I’d written a couple of posts on the subject over here and we’d discussed the odd thing on twitter and msn about it, he felt I was the logical choice to co-author with him (which I preened about for all of 10 minutes *grin* then I started looking at video blogging.. Ouch.. I’m not so hot on the talking.)

Anyhow, I thought it sounded like a great idea (despite my ‘on camera’ misgivings) so about 20 minutes later:

I then vanished off the face of the planet for the best part of 2 weeks as far as the internet is concerned and so have only contributed 2 blog posts, I reckon those of you who’ve been around here for a while could suss which 2 were mine *grin* we’re working up to the vlog side of things but at the moment it seems to be holding it’s own as it is.
If any of you have a comment to make about any of the social network sites you use I’ll be more ‘n’ happy to hear ‘em – or if there are any sites you favour then let me know so I can look ‘em up too.
